Kevin Kjoller
VP of Research, Engineering and Applications
Kevin has been with involved with the research and development of SPMs since 1987, mostly within Digital Instruments/Veeco. Besides being one of the key factors in DI's emergence as the SPM industry leader, he is regarded within the SPM industry as one of the world’s leading technology and applications experts on the Scanning Probe Microscope. At different points through his 16 year career with DI/Veeco, he managed all of the applications and research SPM product development. In particular, he managed the product development efforts for the Bioscope II Platform and a couple of generations of the Nanoscope Controller. He has a BS in Physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Craig Prater
Chief Technology Officer
Craig was the Chief Technologist for Veeco Metrology, responsible for new technology and intellectual property. In 15 years at Digital Instruments and Veeco Metrology, Craig has served as a visionary leader in research, product engineering and technology development. He led the development of automated AFMs which enabled widespread use in semiconductor and data storage fabrication facilities. For his accomplishments, Craig was recognized in 2005 as the first Technology Fellow at Veeco Instruments, the highest technical rank in the organization. In addition to technical responsibilities, he managed an IP portfolio of over 100 patents. Craig was Veeco’s Principal Investigator on a $13M NIST ATP grant on high speed quantitative nano-mechanical measurements. He has over a dozen issued and pending patents and more than 20 technical publications. Craig has a PhD in Physics from UC Santa Barbara.

Mike Reading
Chief Scientific Officer
Mike is universally regarded as one of the foremost scientists in the world in Thermal Analysis. He is a Scientific Advisor to TA Instruments and is the inventor of modulated DSC which is a current standard in the Thermal Analysis industry. He is a co-inventor of probe based Local Thermal and Chemical Analysis. Mike obtained his PhD in Chemistry from Salford.

Roshan Shetty
CEO
As former Director of Strategic Alliances for Veeco Instruments, he conceived of and executed the $13.2 Million Strategic Alliance with Dow Chemical in nano-mechanical characterization that won a $6.6 Million ATP award from a field of 800 applicants. He also developed Veeco's Business Plans for new nano-characterization tools for Material Sciences and Life Sciences. He was a former Investment Banker at Alex Brown, San Francisco and Operations Manager at KLA Tencor, San Jose. He has an Masters in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona and MBA from Insead.
